When
deciding on a restaurant in Berkeley Springs, Tari's Cafe and Gallery
is an intimate space filled with West Virginia art.
The table tucked away in the front window nook is a favorite for
those who like watching the world walk by, while the back corner
makes an ideal setting for a family dinner. Veronica
Wilson's handcrafted pottery decorates
every table - and you can buy it to take home. The tasty food and exciting
specials are the same whichever room you choose; only the atmosphere
changes.
The restaurant is the domain of a pair
of extraordinary local artists. It doesn't take long after
guests are seated for us to hear them chuckle. Then we know
they've noticed Jonathan Heath's paintings. A mainstay of Tari's decor
from the beginning, Heath's paintings present a unique look at life.
We can't even describe them. You'll just have to come and
see them to believe them.
In
contrast to Jonathan's wildly humorous scenes, his wife Jan
Heath produces alluring, serious and captivating prints.
Her work really takes you in. The more you look at them,
the more you want them all."
In case you haven't guessed,
all the art that we offer for sale to our guests
is personally selected. You don't have to be
hungry for food to come into our place. It's
worth a trip
just to see the amazing talent of the Berkeley Springs artists. |
